Specific Card Details

Army

  • Army lets you combine up to five low-lvl monsters into one group, merging their ATK/DEF.
  • On the turn you activate Army, you can merge three monsters immediately. After that, you can only add one monster per turn until you have 5.
  • An army can have three lvl 2s, and two lvl 1s. (No other combinations)
  • The only die roll bonus that applies to Army is 1, which results in a missed attack. Army does not benefit from ATK/DEF bonuses.

Eclipse

Eclipse prevents your opponents from attacking. It must be used on your turn pro-actively, meaning you can't use it as a response to being attacked (like you could with other blocker spells).

Entangle

  • Entangle ends the battle immediately and freezes your opponent's monster for their next two turns.
  • A frozen monster can still be sacrificed to summon another monster. When that happens, the effects do not pass on to the newly summoned monster.

Gnome Summoning Bonus

Every two gnomes you sacrifice gives you a +2 lvl bonus when sacrificing.

For example:

  • One lvl 2 Gnome = +0 lvls
  • Two lvl 2 Gnomes +2 lvls
  • Three lvl 2 Gnomes = +2 lvls
  • Four lvl 2 Gnomes = +4 lvls

Ice Barrage

Ice Barrage ends the battle immediately, deals -4 HP damage, end freezes your opponents monster on their next turn.

A frozen monster can still be sacrificed to summon another monster. When that happens, the effects do not pass on to the newly summoned monster.

Retribution

  • Retribution gives you +1 ATK/DEF for every spell on your field.
  • Even though there's a maximum of 5 spells on your field, it's possible to get +6 ATK/DEF by activating a spell from your hand before going into battle.

Silence

  • Silence prevents your opponents from summoning or activating any spells on their turn.
  • If a player is attacked, silence doesn't apply to the defender--they're allowed to use spells on the field. However, it still applies to the attacker, they can't use spells.

Teleport

  • Teleport can be used defensively or offensively.
  • When used defensively, teleport allows you to escape the battle immediately.
  • When used offensively, teleport allows you to teleport behind your opponent's monsters to attack their health points directly.
  • The only way to defend a Teleport attack is if the attacker rolls a 1 or a blocker spell is used.
  • It's a very viable strategy to burn through your opponent's blocker cards and then do a Teleport attack in the late-game.

Tribute

  • Tribute acts as a placeholder spell, and when activated it allows you to replace it with a spell from your hand.
  • Tribute gives you maximum flexibility, and helps protect your most valuable spells from spells that destroy spells.
